The Nepali Congress has formed a COVID-19 Monitoring Committee to prevent and control the spread of Coronavirus. The party’s joint general secretary Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has been appointed as coordinator and will lead 35 members under this committee.

Nepali Congresss Central Working Committee held meeting to monitor the repercussion caused by COVID-19. The ‘COVID-19 Monitoring Committee’ was completed on friday as per the decision to form the committee.

The committee constitute of central members of the Nepali Congress, invited central members and experts from various fields. The meetin also unanimously passed the working direction and plan of action of the committee.

It has also decided to form separate groups to study the impact of the Coronavirus on various sectors including health, education, tourism, foreign affairs, employment, finance, industry and commerce.
